Milestone Photography first opened its doors for business in 1995. The studio was originally located in a strip mall on West Esplanade Avenue near Clearview Parkway in Metairie, Louisiana. The Studio’s photographer, Melanie Langteau, earned a B.S. Degree in Medical Technology in 1982 from L.S.U. and a M.B.A. from U.N.O. in 1992. This New Orleans children’s photographer was also awarded the Certified Professional Photography Degree from Professional Photography Association. She is blessed with three wonderful children, Michael, Casey and Daniel. Following six years of intensive training and instruction, the business outgrew its West Esplanade location. In 2001, Milestone Photography moved into its present location at 3735 Florida Ave. in Kenner, Louisiana. The 3200 square foots studio was specifically designed as a photography studio and built from the ground. The studio has two camera rooms, north light window area, Victorian fireplace, internal columns, and an outdoor garden. The garden area features a bricked French Quarter-style courtyard complete with wrought iron gates, a thirty foot pergola with elegant white columns, bubbling fountains, and a tropical foliage. The garden also includes a stream which flows under a bridge into a large pond, a Cajun fishing shack, a covered barnyard scene, and old fashioned potting shed, and many other photographic scenes.
